The streetfight-ready Tuono R may not have the fairing or body cladding of a conventional racing machine, but it’s stripped down and exposed aluminum alloy frame is all the evidence a rider needs to know the bike’s true DNA. Designed for precision, with a seating position that translates into maximum control for the front end, the Tuono R, like its Factory sibling, has been engineered with all of Aprilia’s racing know-how. Massive Brembo Gold brakes, a Showa upside down front fork, a Sachs rear monoshock and a wealth of other premium components all combine to form a formidable competitor that’s a pleasure to own and ride every day.
